I was born in norther Italy and moved to the United States in 01. As a child up through middle school i enjoyed working with my hands and coming up with creative crafts and drawing; I’ve even won some awards. As I moved on to high school though I became discouraged and decided to focus on my ‘books’. My senior year of high school, though, I had a lot of free time and one day while shopping online saw a clutch made from African print. I spent the rest of the day trying to find a website where i could buy one but i never did, so i decided to make my own. My mom already had a sewing machine and i had learned the basics in a creative fashion class i took back in middle school so I cut out the fabric and began to sew. The first day I wore the clutch to church, people noticed it and said it was nice. I began making more and people began asking me to make them one so I thought it would be a good idea to start making them to sell…

Thank you Ms. Lory for your generous donation to the Bright Foundation !
